How do you use my personal information?
Your personal information is entered into our system (by you) when you register. This information is only used as contact information regarding your work. No one can see or have access to your personal information, such as your name, address, phone number, and credit card number. Your personal information is never shared with a third party, and it is against our privacy policy to do so.

Can I opt in or opt out of your mailing list for unwanted emails?

Should you ever receive anything other than an automated email regarding your transcripts or an email from management concerning any questions we may have about your work, please contact lee@leeperfect.net and ask to be removed from our mailing list. Should you receive any type of solicitation or non-work-related emails after asking us to remove you from our mailing list, again, please contact us at lee@leeperfect.net. We will take immediate action.

How do you use my audio materials?
Your audio materials are used for transcription purposes only. The audios are used solely by the transcriptionists who type up the audio, after which they are deleted from our database. All typists are required to sign a legally binding Confidentiality/ND Agreement with us upon hire. You can be guaranteed that all audio materials will not be shared with any third party. It is against our privacy policy to do so.

How can I be certain that my audio materials are secure on your server?
Our server is SSL-encrypted. SSL means “Secure Socket Layer.” You will note when you receive your automated emails concerning completion of your files that the transcripts are encrypted. This is automatically done by our server for your protection. Should you find the need to ensure privacy above and beyond this policy, please contact lee@leeperfect.net or call 800-881-2468.

Can I view and edit my personal information?
Yes. You can log into your account, view any files, and edit your personal information at any time. The account belongs to YOU, and you have every right to edit your personal information. You may also change your email address or password at any time.

How will I know if there are privacy policy changes?
Should we make any additions or deletions to this privacy policy, we will not contact you; however, you may check this page at any time and note the last date of update for comparison.

Terms and conditions
Terms of Service Agreement

I (Client) agree to pay Lee Perfect Transcribing Inc., d/b/a Lee Perfect Transcribing, (Vendor) for any/all transcription work performed on my behalf or that of my company's behalf.

Payments:
I agree that Lee Perfect Transcribing Inc., has the right to charge my credit card in their record, and email the transcripts to me if my completed files are not paid for within five (5) days of the completion of transcripts by client. I understand and agree that should I be invoiced for work performed by Lee Perfect Transcribing, and should payment not be made directly to Lee Perfect Transcribing within 30 days of the date of invoice, Lee Perfect Transcribing holds the right to charge a 10% late fee to the total of the invoice.

In addition:

Recording Quality:
Lee Perfect Transcribing has the right to reject any audio they deem to be of such poor quality that:

  1. It is not possible to transcribe more than 30% of the audio.
  2. The project is above and beyond Lee Perfect Transcription's resources.

Lee Perfect Transcribing also reserves the right to reject any project without assigning any reason.

  • I understand my order is subject to a price increase if the file(s) is/are described as "good", but is/are actually "difficult", as defined on the rate page of the Lee Perfect Transcribing website. Should Client consider the audio "good" quality, but Vendor (Lee Perfect Transcribing) deems it "difficult" quality, Vendor (Lee Perfect Transcribing) will contact Client prior to starting the work to discuss the possible rate increase.
  • I understand that there are no transcript quality guarantees on files submitted as "difficult" audio quality. Vendor will not make any corrections to transcripts deemed to be "difficult" audio quality, and I will pay the full amount owed to Lee Perfect Transcribing.

Lee Perfect Transcribing also reserves the right to reject any project without assigning any reason.

Transcription Accuracy:
Lee Perfect Transcribing guarantees a 98% accuracy rate for only "good" audio with up to two persons in the recording. Should Client feel that any work performed by Vendor does not meet this accuracy rate, client should contact us at lee@leeperfect.net NO LATER than two (2) weeks of receipt of transcript(s). Client accepts and understands that no transcript is ever "perfect." There are times when judgment calls must be made, and Client realizes this. Should Client feel that the accuracy rate is below 98%, and the audio is deemed "good" quality, Lee Perfect Transcribing will correct the error(s) and return transcript as soon as possible. There will be no corrections or refunds made on orders with audio files deemed or uploaded to us as difficult quality audio.

Lee Perfect Transcribing charges per minute of audio, not by page count, number of characters or words. This prevents unnecessary charges that many other companies will employ. Any "part" of a minute at the end of an audio file will be rounded and added to the next minute only if the "part" is longer than 10 seconds.

Although we do strive for 98% accuracy or better for audio that is considered "good", Client agrees to release and hold harmless Lee Perfect Transcribing Services, Inc., d/b/a Lee Perfect Transcribing, its officers, and employees, of any damages that might occur from the publication, quotation, distribution or public use of a quotation from the transcript that may contain a typographical or factual error or even those without error. Client agrees that it is his/her responsibility to confirm the accuracy of a transcript prior to information from a transcript being published or printed and will not list or imply Lee Perfect Transcribing Services, Inc., d/b/a Lee Perfect Transcribing, its officers or any employees as defendant in any litigations.

Indemnification
While Lee Perfect Transcribing makes all attempts to complete the transcription work on time and accurately, it cannot absolutely guarantee the delivery date or quality of the transcripts to be acceptable when it is delivered. Lee Perfect Transcribing will redo the transcript if it is not up to standard and will attempt to deliver it on time. However, Lee Perfect Transcribing cannot be held responsible for any losses due to a delay in delivery or inaccuracy that may occur. By signing this contract, the client indemnifies Lee Perfect Transcribing from any losses that may be incurred due to project delays or in accuracy of the transcripts.

Agreement:
Client agrees and understands that checking the box to agree to Terms and Conditions, or Terms of Service (TOS), binds Client to the Terms of Service (TOS) listed here. Lee Perfect Transcribing Services, Inc., d/b/a Lee Perfect Transcribing, holds the right to change or modify this Terms of Service (TOS) agreement on occasion. Any modifications or changes made will appear on the www.leeperfect.com website.

Entire Agreement; Amendment:
This Agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other promises or conditions in any other agreement whether oral or written. This Agreement supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between the parties. This Agreement may be modified or amended if the amendment is made in writing and is signed by both parties.


Confidential Non-Disclosure

Each transcriptionist within the Lee Perfect community is required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement prior to working for us. This is kept on file. You can be assured that the materials going through our system are highly secure and are never divulged to anyone. Once a transcript has been completed and submitted, it is completely deleted from the transcriptionist's computer. This is a legally bound agreement between Lee Perfect Transcribing and each individual transcriptionist.

We are willing to sign any specific Non-Disclosure Agreement with any customer who requests one.
