What file formats do you accept?

When transcribing audio and video recordings, we accept the following formats: MP3, MP4, WMV, AIF, M4A, MOV, AVI, VOB, AMR, WMA, OGG, and WAV. We also accept the following text file formats: DOC, PDF, RTF, TXT and XLS. Physical media formats are also acceptable (tapes, CDs, SD cards, etc.) Have a streaming video or audio file that needs transcribing? We also accept links to streaming video and audio files available on the web. If you have a file in a format other than those listed here, please contact a transcription representative today.

How do you keep my information secure?

Encryption and password protection is essential and a very important part in keeping your information secure at all times. All digital voice recordings sent via the internet for transcription are encrypted in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Lee Perfect offers a secure FTP (file transfer) server location that is utilized to encrypt and send completed transcription to our clients. We utilize the ExaVault secure file transfer software, and have partnered with DragonĀ® by Nuance/Emdat as a secure Transcription Application Service Provider.

Our compliance officers and staff are well versed in HIPAA rules and regulations, and go through a rigorous training to stay on top of the ever changing rules. Confidentiality is vital when it comes to patient information and Lee Perfect is a compliant HIPAA-HITECH company that can ensure that any information you dictate is safe and protected. Your secure files are visible only to the professionals who have signed strict confidentially agreements.

In what format will I receive the completed transcription?

We will deliver your transcription into any format that you prefer.

Do you edit filler words (i.e. umm, uhh)?

We edit filler words such as "uhh" and "umm" to best represent the integrity of the recording, when asked. However, we do not edit grammatical errors as we only transcribe the audio as is. You may request verbatim transcription as an optional add-on to your order if you prefer to have all filler words included, contact a transcription representative to learn more about these additional services.
